The entire city of Laguna Beach is gay friendly. That being said, there's a gay beach in Laguna which has gorgeous scenery, and lots of twinks in speedos. There's an active Democratic party who is very pro-LGBT, and small pockets of liberals exist. Our Republicans are the rich, corporate ones, and generally less of the crazy bible thumpers (although they're there too). It's a Republican bastion in California, but, growing up here my entire life, I've never once felt like I was being repressed or stifled in any way because I'm gay. OC is only conservative in comparison to LA and SF.
